Our Story
Our child therapy administrative team includes five therapists, with nearly 100 years of combined experience providing therapy for children. They have advanced certifications in NDT, Sensory Integration, and PROMPT.
Donna’s desire to teach other therapists to provide the same high quality therapy for children was the motivation she needed to fulfill this dream. Donna Klein & Associates, Inc. began in 1990 with Donna and a few employees. It continued to grow each year due to its solid reputation, and eventually became Westchester Therapy Solutions.
Better Solutions, Brighter Futures!
Each of our therapists must go through a rigorous interview process with our administrative team. Professionalism, clinical knowledge, experience, ability to establish rapport with children, and passion are all essential. As a result, the WTS therapists are exceptional, dedicated, warm, and engaging. Parents see impressive progress in their children’s abilities and are grateful for the confidence their children develop. Therapists attend ongoing continuing education to ensure provision of cutting-edge approaches to the children we serve. Matching a child with their unique set of needs to a therapist with the right expertise is a top priority for Westchester Therapy Solutions.

Donna Klein, M.A., OTR/L: Founder & Director
Donna Klein is the founder and director of Westchester Therapy Solutions. She has devoted the past 30+ years to the care and development of children and the education of their families. Donna’s background and expertise lies in Sensory Integration, Autism Spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD/executive functioning limitations, and children with behavioral difficulties. She received a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from SUNY Buffalo, a Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University and holds a Certification in Sensory Integration.
Her work experience began in adult rehabilitation providing her with an understanding of neurology which soon transformed into her passion for working with children. During the early years, Donna worked with children of all ages, birth through adolescence. She spent time in school districts, early intervention programs, and preschools as a team member to maximize a child’s function. Donna Klein & Associates developed a solid reputation for providing high-quality therapy that truly made a difference in the lives of their young clients. As the years went by, under Donna’s leadership the company grew into what is now Westchester Therapy Solutions with over 70 therapists and a wonderful team of administrative professionals. She takes pride in hand-picking therapists to join WTS, guiding them to take their therapeutic skill level higher and having a wonderful team of supervisors that are always available to parents.
Donna was thrilled when WTS moved and significantly expanded to its current clinic location in Harrison, NY. The state-of-the-art sensory gym includes a pirate ship, sensory room, school-age exploration area, toddler zone, speech clinic, and multiple evaluation areas. Donna believes an important goal for every child is to make friends more easily. As a result, the clinic focuses on empowering all children to “play” beyond what was previously thought possible with other children and with their special buddy / his/her therapist. The clinic destination is an exciting space full of the dynamic therapy equipment, has plenty of parking, there is a daycare center in the building, and it has a spacious cafeteria. Come visit Donna and her staff anytime to see the confidence build in our children, the smiles on their faces and the parents thrilled with the services we provide.

Emily believes a family’s goals & priorities are of the utmost importance.
Our families find Emily to be an essential part of their team, highly relying on her expertise during every step of their child’s growth and development. She is extremely creative while she maximizes a child’s motivation to ensure progress in each child’s therapy. Susan has been working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist for over 17 years. She started her career working in an inpatient acute care setting, but found her true passion once she switched over to Pediatrics. Susan enjoys working with the preschool and school age population and seeing how even small gains in a child’s strength, balance, and coordination transfer over to an improvement not only in their gross motor skills, but to their self-confidence and self-esteem.
She believes collaboration with parents/caregivers and all individuals working with the child is of utmost importance, and leads to overall success for the child. In her current role as PT supervisor, she is available to support new therapists as well as discuss treatment strategies with seasoned therapists. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John’s University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Touro College.

Meet Casey – Our new addition
Casey is an English Goldendoodle. She is a wonderful addition to our staff allowing children their space if they choose not to interact with her or providing unconditional love, patience and a lovely tactile experience if they choose to get to know her. Casey performs tricks on command, can sit at a hesitant child’s feet or can allow warm hugs as needed. Donna is thrilled to have her as part of our larger family. Casey loves tummy rubs, treats and swimming in lakes.
We will always miss and cherish the time we had with Sunny. These two pups would have been best friends.
