Therapeutic Listening is a sound-based intervention that is designed to use during therapy. The music is electronically modified to naturally encourage attention, activate body movement and to help organize a child’s nervous system. A dynamic, individualized plan is developed based upon the child’s response to the program.
Westchester Therapy Solutions has seen children benefit from Therapeutic Listening with the follow difficulties:
"Our therapist utilized Therapeutic Listening with our son in an effort to address issues with sensory integration, regulation, sleep, and attention. I am so thankful that we had WTS and the guidance of an experienced OT. Therapeutic Listening has been amazing. Before starting this program, he was completely overwhelmed by his preschool classroom which resulted in him withdrawing from classroom activities and his peers. I firmly believe Therapeutic Listening improved his ability to self-regulate and process sensory input which in turn allowed him the ability to function in his class. While he still has challenges ahead of him, he is now available for learning which is HUGE. He is no longer overwhelmed in his classroom or having daily tantrums. His last year of preschool was a success and he was able to make so many gains. I am so grateful he was able to access this therapy at Westchester Therapy Solutions.
I would highly recommend Therapeutic Listening and Westchester Therapy Solutions!"
